My intentions for this trip

My main objective for this trip is to build my faith and the faith of others. I want to show people that God is real and there is still Love out there in this crazy world. I have no schedule and no plan on what lies ahead. What happens each day is entirely up to our God the Father. God Bless.

Sorry. Having trouble with posting the video

It's not a video but it will have to do for now. I'll keep trying

I don't even know where to begin. This post is a long one. I wanna tell you about a God we serve. If you don't serve him, then you best be dropping everything right now and asking God into your life. So I'm just gonna start from the beginning. I woke up and packed my stuff up. Jumped on my bike and decided that today I wasn't going to listen to any music while I rode. I wanted to see how encouraged I could be if I just thought about and talked to God. It was great. Today I rode about 65 miles. Praise God. Towards the end was a little tough. It was getting later than I wanted to stop and ask for a camp site. I wanted to hit my 160 mile mark so I kept riding. I finally came along an older man outside so I stopped. I told him what I was doing and asked if I could stay in his yard. He told me that I probably should go down the street to a park. He didn't really say no bust pretty much said try a different place. I said thanks anyways and continued on. I didn't goto the park because it wasn't on route. A little farther up the rode I saw a guy working on his car. I pulled into his driveway and a dog came running up. There were also a bunch of other dogs barking behind his house. I told him my story and asked him if I could stay in his yard. He said he didn't think it would be a good idea because his dogs would bark all night and keep him up. So I said thanks anyways and continued on. At this point I'm thinking in my head that I might have to set up camp in a random spot. Now it's around 6:00 and I'm talking to God. I say "God, if you want me to talk to someone then put them in the middle of the street". I didn't want to fo up to someone if they were to far off the road. Two mins after I said that, I ride up to a kid who is yelling with a sign"lemonade stand" . He was at the end of the driveway in the middle of the country where lemonade stands don't exist. I just start laughing and say to myself occluded I want lemonade. Lol. I stop and ask if I can talk to the owner of the house. One of the two boys goes and gets his mother while the other asks why I want the owner. I tell him my story and that I was going to ask to tent in their yard. He tells me that his mother probably won't care and actually she wants to ride a bike one day around the USA. Praise God. She comes out and I tell her the story and she says ofcourse you can stay here. She had her son set up this pop up camper. Lol she had dinner ready and fed me. Praise the lord. She even had just bought a new blender and made me a whey protein shake. I also got a shower. Lol I even was thinking not too long ago that I wanted power at my next stop to charge everything. Guess what, I have power in a camper. It also rained tonight. But I'm in a camper. Oh and I'm also getting blueberry pancakes for breakfast. Talk about a great God. Two out of the three days so far I got taking in like family and fed dinner. Praise God. Thanks for th prayers and keep them up and God will show us all great things.

God is Great

Just thought I would post real quick. It's 8:55pm and I just received a phone call from the preacher I met yesterday. He just wanted to let me know he was getting ready to pray for me and and that he would every night around the same time. All I gotta say is thank you God!

Day Two

I rode about 50 more miles today. I got my first flat tire. Lol. So just everyone knows, my directions are from google maps. They have the option to hit bike routes. I didn't know but a lot of my trip is off roads and on bike trails. It keeps me safe from traffic but the problem is they're not all paved. I rode six miles on a gravel horse trail.Lol And then about ten miles before my stopping today, I ran into another unpaved trail where my tire went flat. Only took me about 5 mins to change though. While I was fixing that, a guy rode by and asked if I needed help. He told me that there was a bike shop not to far from where I was. So I decided to ride there but it was 5 miles in the opposite direction which is a lot on a bike. Praise God though cause I held my head up. So right now I am at the shop and the owner said I could camp here. He also offer his shower to me but I declined because I felt a little weird about it. Ive been meet people here and there as well. A guy came up to me at a gas station and asked me How far I was riding. He was in the army and told me he just got back and wanted to figure out life a little bit. His preacher gave him his bible with all his notes in it. I told him what I was doing and he said he would follow. Praise God. Now I'm just sitting on a bench and about to read some of the bible. Everything is great and thanks again for all the prayers.

Ps: I just bought sunscreen because my neck is cherry red. Lol. I knew I forgot something.

What Our God has done for alread on the first day

So here's the deal. For all of you that don't know, God is real. The problem with most people is they don't understand what God is. So first off today I got about 30 mile into the trip where I decided to take a rest. I was on a bike trail just siting on a bench. I thought to my self that I wanted to read a little of the bible but not too much because I wanted to get back to riding to gain some ground. At that moment, Mike Hill sent me a text and all it said was psalm 20. I laughed and then I read it. Praise God. After that I jumped back on my bike and rode another 20 miles and I started to get into some hilly terrain. It was so exhausting that I actually was getting off and walking up hills. In my mind I was struggling with myself on staying positive and wanting to continue. I then saw a sign for a church of Christ. I thought that if I could atlaste get to there then I could tent up on church property. So a couple miles later I come up to the church. I was still debating on riding past because I wanted more ground to cover. But I felt it in my spirit to pull in because there where two houses pretty much on the same property. I passed the first one as I was think what I would say as I knock on the door. By the time I got to the door of the second house, the owner was already opening it to say hi. I told him I was biking across the country and asked him if he was apart of that church. He said " yes and were having dinner so come in and eat". The first house was the preachers house so they invited him down and I got to meet him. There were about 10 or so people altogether and we got in a circle and he prayed for me for my trip. Praise God. I couldn't of had a better first day. And the view of the land from the hill I'm on right now is amazing. I'll take pics. You can see for miles. The power of God is truly amazing.

35 miles in

Hello everyone. First of all. I couldn't of asked for a better departure. Thank you everyone for the prayers and setting me off on my journey. So far so good. I'm just taking a little break on a bench. My directions actually use bike trails as well which is pretty sweet. So right now I am on a paved path in the middle of fields and woods. I am starting to feel it in my legs a little but I'm just going to keep riding. Thanks again for everything. God bless and much love.

Last night before departure

Thanks y'all

Tonight I was surprised with a going away party. It was really great seeing everybody and knowing I have support. It is tough saying goodbye. I just want to say thanks to everyone who came and for the gifts. I did end up taking a little weight out of my pack because it was a little heavy. Tomorrow is going to be a big day and our God is going to show us all great things. I give all glory to him. God bless and goodnight.

Future Posts

Hello everyone,

So just so everyone knows, I am leaving sun may 8th after church. Praise God. I also want to let everyone know that I probably wont be posting everyday of the trip. Most of the time I will be charging my phone via the sun. So if there are rainy days than I wont have power. So if four days pass and there are no blogs, don't worry because God will protect me. I have been searching for a better blog site so I can post videos as well. I have come to the decision that I am just going to throw links on these blogs to Youtube every time I want to post videos. I have been sleeping in a tent for the last three days to prepare myself for the trip. It rained all three days and I was dry as a whistle. Praise the lord. I am so excited and look forward to posting for you to read. Thanks for your interest and God Bless.
